Elementary Level
According to the new National Education Act, Elementary level (E.P.) lasts 6 years divided in 2 periods: from 1st to 3rd and from 4th to 6th. This level agrees with the Elementary Level of the French System. This one lasts 5 years, also divided in 2 periods: E1 and E2 (1st and 2nd E.P.) and from E3 to E5 (3rd to 5th E.P.).
In this period two teachers are in charge of each class. One of them is for French and the other for Spanish. They work together matching the official Programs so that pupils gain the necessary abilities in the different areas.
In general terms, the educational project for this level aims at:
- Training critical and reflective persons who are able to know, understand and respect social and cultural diversity in the world.
- Promotion of intellectual work, debate and making decisions
- Encouragement to develop strategies for problem solving.
